Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store leader to manage all employees and store processes, including ordering, receiving, stocking, presentation, and customer service. • Strong math skills for calculations, percentages and reconciliations.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit controls.
• Ability to operate a cash register and generate reports.
• Understanding of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and team collaboration.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, hiring, counseling and termination processes.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees per federal/state laws and policies; ensure adequate staffing.
• Provide training, conduct evaluations, address performance gaps and counsel as needed.
• Recommend pay rate changes and advancement pathways.
• Communicate performance and safety expectations; organize meetings to reinforce policies.
• Open/close store as scheduled, ensuring proper coverage.
• Analyze store financials and inventory trends to drive profitability.
• Ensure stock targets are met and manage replenishment planning.
• Stock merchandise efficiently and maintain proper presentation and pricing.
