Job summary

Sally Beauty in Sacramento, CA is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in hiring, training, and developing staff, driving sales, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences across in-store and omni-channel channels.

You will help execute brand standards, manage daily operations, scheduling, inventory, and loss prevention, while fostering a diverse, inclusive team and delivering strong KPIs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must 18 years of age or older.
• Minimum 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience preferred.
• At least 1+ year(s) prior management experience preferred.
• Ability to lead or support a team of associates to meet business objectives.
• Can effectively communicate with team and management.
• Must have scheduling availability to meet the needs of the business.
• Cosmetology license desirable, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Brand: supervise and plan associates’ daily goals to deliver an exceptional client experience and drive sales/KPIs.
• People: train and develop teams; recruit to build network of candidates; address concerns and coach as needed.
• Operations: ensure execution of company processes; support digital strategies including Omni-channel fulfillment.
• Inventory and payroll: manage inventory, payroll hours, and scheduling; ensure proper opening/closing procedures.
• Safety/Loss Prevention: maintain safe store environment; protect assets and follow policies.
