Job summary

Kroger is seeking a Store Leader for the Logansport, IN location to oversee day-to-day operations, including staff training and development to achieve sales and EBITDA targets.

Responsibilities include leading merchandising initiatives, managing budgets, improving profitability, and ensuring compliance with laws and company policies. Strong supervisory and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Effective communication and reading skills.
• Completion of the applicable Division’s Leadership Training Program.
• Experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• 3+ years of experience as an assistant store leader or in a similar pay level.
• Must be 21 years old.
• 3+ years of retail experience.
• Financial responsibility, including budget preparation and management.

Responsibilities

• Lead store teams in merchandising and operation initiatives.
• Identify opportunities and develop action plans for implementation.
• Achieve or exceed weekly, period, and annual sales, revenue and profit budgets.
• Drive cost effective sales and reduce shrink to maximize profits.
• Discuss budgets and goals with store assistants and shift leads.
• Understand the competitive landscape within the district.
• Promote inclusive leadership and support store and area efforts.
• Coordinate with division associates to execute marketing plans.
• Foster relationships with local community organizations.
