Staples, Inc. seeks a General Manager to lead a community-focused, customer-centric retail team. You will guide merchandise sales, print and marketing services, and the overall store operations to deliver total solutions for customers and small businesses.

Your role emphasizes coaching and developing a high-performing team, driving profitability, and ensuring operational excellence in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year progressively responsible store management experience in a retail environment.
• Store Operations experience with analysis, planning, financial acumen and driving results.
• Experience creating a customer centric environment and working in a consultative selling environment that provides customers a total solution.
• Experience developing a team in operational excellence to drive profitable YOY sales and margins.
• Ability to lift/move materials in the 10-50 pound range, climb ladders, stand and walk continuously.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong leadership in community, customer service, sales and team development.
• Lead merchandise sales, print & marketing services and retail operations.
• Drive profitable sales and margins while reducing variability and improving YoY performance.
• Ensure flawless execution of operational excellence across the store.
• Coach managers and supervisors to deliver consultative selling and total solutions.
• Oversee running the store and assume additional responsibilities as needed.
