Job summary

Advance Auto Parts in Dover, OH seeks an Assistant General Manager to drive profitability and customer service. You will oversee DIY services, supervise team members, and ensure adherence to safety and operational standards. The role includes scheduling, coaching, and maintaining high levels of service while meeting store targets.

The ideal candidate has leadership experience in retail, strong knowledge of automotive systems, and proficiency with Microsoft Word/Excel. ASE certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge to review and analyze P&L statements.
• Ability to manage DIY services including battery installation and wiper installs.
• Proven leadership experience to coach and manage a team on duty.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with customers and peers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze profitability and store performance.
• Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives.
• Manage DIY services, customer service, and service quality.
• Lead floor/phone management, scheduling, and open/close duties.
• Ensure safety standards and train staff on store processes and equipment.
