Job summary

Subway is seeking a Store Leader to oversee daily operations, drive guest satisfaction, and ensure quality food preparation and service. You will manage inventory and money control, recruit and train staff, and coordinate local marketing efforts to maximize sales.

You will lead safety, security, and compliance, analyze performance records, and communicate effectively with all levels of restaurant staff. This role requires strong leadership and hands-on involvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in a restaurant environment with supervision/training experience.
• Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members.
• Computer knowledge is essential; experience with a computerized POS system/cash register.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting and rewarding outstanding team members.
• Ensuring safety and security protocols are followed, including health and food safety codes.
• Maintaining business records and analyzing them to increase sales.
• Identify and contact prospective guests to promote sales.
• Support local and national marketing initiatives; prepare for new marketing window.

Job description

As part of the Subway® Team, you as a Store Leader will focus on eight main things:

• Providing an excellent guest experience
• Ensuring that great food is prepared & served
• Keeping our restaurants functional, clean and beautiful
• Managing inventory and money control systems
• Coordinating local marketing initiatives, including community outreach
• Recruiting staff
• Maintaining standards of restaurant safety and security

In addition to the role of a Store Leader, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Recruiting and rewarding outstanding Team members
• Ensuring safety and security protocols are followed. Including being aware of local and national healthy and food safety codes
• Maintaining business records and analyzing them to help increase sales
• Identifying and contacting prospective Guests to promote sales
• Supporting local and national marketing initiatives, ensuring restaurant is ready on every level for the beginning of a new marketing window
• Planning special events and promotions

Prerequisites

Education

High school diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred

Experience

A minimum of 2 years in a restaurant environment, experience in supervising and training staff.

Essential Functions

Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members. Computer knowledge is essential.

Physical

Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
