Job summary

PRIDE Industries is hiring a Store Worker Lead to supervise a diverse team in stocking and merchandising at a commissary on a military base. The role emphasizes practical stocking knowledge, safety, and leadership to ensure quality and efficient store operations.

You will oversee task prioritization, training of staff, inventory control, and maintaining a neat, saleable display while upholding safety standards and customer service expectations.

Qualifications

• Must meet all requirements of the worker position being led.
• At least one year of stocker, merchandising, or related experience.
• Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities and/or physical challenges preferred.
• Knowledge of company safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to manage material resources and time and to work independently and as a team.
• Knowledge of specialized departmental equipment.
• Ability to train employees in proper departmental practices and procedures, including safety and PPE usage.
• Ability to communicate effectively and to elevate matters appropriately.
• Human relations and interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships.
• Mathematical ability including basic arithmetic.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong organizational, problem solving, and common sense skills.
• Ability to interpret stock labels and rotate stock appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and assign tasks, including coordinating work schedules for coverage.
• Maintain supplies and equipment to ensure proper operation and safety.
• Train workers in safe and proper use of products and equipment.
• Train and assist workers in performing duties.
• Monitor progress of tasks and inspect completed work for quality.
• Investigate discrepancies and report improvements to management.
