Job summary

Shoe Carnival in Florence, KY is seeking a motivated Store Lead to oversee an area of the store and grow into a leadership role. You will supervise a department, greet customers, train associates, and help with cash handling and store standards.

This full-time position requires strong communication, initiative, and at least one year in retail or cash handling; evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required; standing, lifting up to 25 lbs.

Qualifications

• At least one year experience in retail, sales, or cash handling (preferred).
• Ability to learn and operate the POS system.
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Must be at least 16 years old.

Responsibilities

• Lead a department (e.g., Women’s, Men’s, Children’s) and support store standards.
• Greet and assist customers with a positive, helpful attitude.
• Train and guide associates on service, product placement, and cash handling.
• Handle transactions, returns, and safe/till counts as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs during shifts
• Comfortable bending, squatting, and reaching for merchandise
• Able to move quickly in a fast-paced store environment
