Qualifications

• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.
• Knowledge of cash, facility and safety control policies and practices.
• Effective interpersonal and oral & written communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and process cartons per store procedures.
• Stock merchandise and rotate displays; build merchandise displays.
• Restock returned and recovered merchandise.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.
• Greet customers and help locate merchandise.
• Operate cash register and bag merchandise; handle payments and change.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety; bag at front counter.
• Support cashiers with register operations and cash control.
• Close/open store under Area Manager direction; handle refunds/overrides as needed.
• Monitor cash levels and security practices; assist in the bank deposits.
