Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Louisiana LLC seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development at our Kentucky-area location. You will assist with daily store activities, help customers, and manage merchandise flow from delivery to floor.

This role requires strong communication, leadership and organizational skills, with preference for store management experience in retail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and be able to walk, stand, bend, and reach repeatedly.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked and organized store area according to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment.
