Job summary

WinCo Foods in Chandler, AZ is seeking a store operations clerk to support department leadership, deliver friendly service, and assist the department manager in daily tasks.

You will perform clerk, cashier and freight stocker duties, respond to customer questions, supervise teammates, ensure safety, cleanliness and accuracy in pricing and stock, and help maintain a busy shopping environment that puts customers first.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience and the ability to engage and thank customers.
• Ability to lead, direct staff, and handle inquiries with professionalism.
• Strong verbal and written communication, plus rapport with customers and associates.
• Ability to multi-task and manage several responsibilities simultaneously.
• Familiarity with store policies and procedures.
• Understand state age requirements for eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Assist management with daily store operations in the designated department (grocery or freight).
• Provide lead role in customer service, handle complaints, approve refunds, and answer questions.
• Support cashiering and stocking duties, including ensuring price accuracy and UPC scanning as needed.
• Monitor activity and customer flow; communicate with supervisor regularly.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization of work areas, and proper safety practices.
• Assist with training or guiding fellow clerks and other assigned tasks as directed.
• Perform duties across grocery clerk, cashier and freight stocker roles as required.
