Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Cashier/Stocker who can lead in the absence of Store Manager or Assistant Manager. You will unload trucks, stock shelves, and assist customers while upholding store standards and loss prevention.

The role requires basic math, cash handling, and familiarity with plan-o-grams. You will support merchandise presentation, maintain security, and help ensure a safe, clean store environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit control.
• Ability to operate IBM cash register functions.
• Knowledge of cash, safety and security policies and practices.
• Effective interpersonal and oral & written communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise as directed.
• Stock, rotate, face merchandise and build displays.
• Assist customers and locate merchandise.
• Maintain clean and organized store and assist in opening/closing.
• Authorize refunds/overrides in manager's absence and manage cash procedures.
• Follow SOPs and company policies as outlined in manuals.
