Advance Auto Parts is seeking a General Manager in a fast-paced retail environment. The role focuses on inspiring the team, growing Professional Customer relationships, and delivering strong financial results while maintaining service and appearance standards.

The position is exempt with a demanding schedule, including long hours, nights and weekends. You will oversee hiring, coaching, training and performance management, and coordinate store operations to achieve sales goals.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of people management in a fast-paced retail environment.
• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience building and executing customer action plans and team coaching.
• Experience with inventory control and store operations.

Responsibilities

• Achieve overall store sales goals and service objectives
• Manage and grow Professional Customer relationships and sales
• Hiring, development, performance mgmt., coaching and scheduling of team members
• Ensure execution of inventory and operational standards
• Coach team to meet customer expectations (DIY and Professional)
• Manager on duty responsibilities and safety
• Lead change management and foster inclusive environment
• Provide DIY services such as battery replacement and wiper installation
