Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Mississippi LLC in Poplarville, MS is seeking a part-time Sales Associate to greet customers, help with merchandise, locate items, and complete sales at the register. You will support store operations and assist the Store Manager with daily tasks.

This role requires reliability, flexibility, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Prior retail experience is preferred; training is provided. Applicants must be available on weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Education: Prefer completion of high school or equivalent.
• Ability to read, interpret and explain operational directives.
• Experience: Prefer management experience in retail, grocery or drug store environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to store team on operating practices and procedures.
• Greet customers and assist with questions and concerns.
• Handle customer inquiries with the best interest of the customer and company in mind.
• Suggest add-ons and promotions to increase basket size and sales.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store environment.
• Operate the POS system to accurately process transactions.
