Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. is seeking a Store Associate focused on floor care at our Montgomery location. You will operate floor scrubbers, buffers, and maintain cleanliness across Sales Floor, Backroom, and Restrooms, while delivering strong customer service.

The role requires stamina, multi-tasking, and adherence to safety and loss-prevention policies. Training across store areas is available to support business needs.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and run floor buffer and scrubber.
• Capable of multi-tasking.
• Able to respond to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
• Strong communication skills: verbal and written.
• Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without accommodation.
• Retail customer experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and organized store environment with focus on floor care.
• Operate scrubber and buffer, dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming and spot cleaning of glass/windows.
• Adhere to health and safety, loss prevention, and store policies.
• Cross-train to support various store areas as needed.
• Assist Front End coverage and uphold merchandising signage standards.
• Participate in store recovery and ensure a safe, welcoming environment.
