Job summary

Michaels Stores in Asheville, NC is seeking a store associate focused on maintaining a clean, welcoming store and delivering friendly customer service. You’ll help customers locate items, restock shelves, and keep floors and main areas tidy to support our Brand Promises.

This role involves sweeping and mopping, trash removal, assisting with POS transactions, and supporting omnichannel processes as needed. You’ll work in a fast-paced retail environment with nights, weekends, and mornings

Qualifications

• Retail or cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift/move objects as required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of store appearance and cleanliness.
• Provide friendly customer service and assist shoppers in finding products.
• Collect and dispose of trash and perform cleaning tasks (dusting, mopping) according to procedures.
• Keep key areas clean (bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways) and restock as needed.
• Support SOPs, safety programs, and privacy of customers.
