Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a store cleaning and customer service associate for the DET-CHESTERFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI area. You will maintain cleanliness, assist customers, and support day-to-day store operations.

Responsibilities include trash disposal, mopping, stocking, participating in BOPIS/SFS processes, aiding with safety programs, and providing a fast, friendly checkout experience while adhering to company policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Retail or cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to perform physical tasks in a retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain store cleanliness and recovery standards to deliver Brand Promises.
• Deliver friendly customer service and help customers shop the store.
• Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
• Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
• Move equipment and products for cleaning and return to placement.
• Deep clean key areas of the store including bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways and other high traffic areas.
• Keep cleaning equipment neat and notify supervisor of supply needs.
• Seeks out areas requiring cleaning and completes tasks.
• Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines.
• Provide a fast and friendly check out experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and enrollments.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
• Participate in the truck un-load, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
