Job summary

Meijer stores are seeking a Store Director to lead the operation end-to-end, ensuring exceptional customer service while driving sales and financial performance. You will guide teams, mentor leaders, and uphold safety and merchandising standards across the store.

The role requires a robust background in retail leadership, experience with multi-unit revenue, and the ability to partner with the community to strengthen the Meijer brand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent retail experience.
• 5 years of retail/service industry experience.
• 3 years of leadership experience including management of leaders with direct reports.
• Retail leadership with General Merchandise and Grocery/Fresh experience preferred.
• Experience leading operations with $40 million minimum annual sales revenue.

Responsibilities

• Use leadership and service expertise to maximize store success and financial results.
• Provide excellent customer service throughout store operations.
• Mentor and coach all team members to meet and exceed goals.
• Ensure proper staffing with well-trained team members and develop existing staff.
• Maintain corporate, safety, and regulatory procedures for a safe work environment.
• Cultivate relationships in the local community to support the Meijer brand.
