Job summary

Houchens Food Group is seeking a self-motivated Project Manager to support the fast-paced Store Development team within the Houchens Industries family. The role focuses on planning, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control for a range of commercial projects, including grocery, hardware, and office environments.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of commercial construction management experience.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient understanding of design documents (drawings, specs, submittals, schedules).
• Solid understanding of construction methods and building codes.
• Experience evaluating proposal scopes.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, and team-motivation abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and listening skills.
• Strong judgment and professionalism in all project communications.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Proven negotiation, conflict management, and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital projects from initiation to occupancy across multiple markets.
• Develop cost estimates and coordinate between internal and design teams.
• Prepare procurement packages, manage bidding, and evaluate proposals.
• Monitor project budgets, schedules, and quality control to ensure on-time delivery.
