As a NAPA Counter Sales associate, you will be the "face of the retail store" and the go-to person for customers seeking automotive parts and advice. No need to be able to tear down motors—though that’s a bonus—but a background in automotive parts is essential. This role offers a great opportunity whether you want to build a career as a Parts Specialist, work full or part-time, or explore other career paths within our company.

What You Will Be Doing

• Providing auto parts solutions and answers to retail and wholesale customers in person and over the phone
• Assisting team members with customer questions using your parts knowledge
• Delivering outstanding customer care and interactions
• Bringing energy and customer focus to our fast-paced stores
• Engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience
• Using technology such as computers, cash registers, telephones, and paper catalogs

What You’ll Need

• Valid Driver’s License
• Experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or willingness to learn
• High School Diploma or GED; technical or trade school is a plus
• Excellent communication skills
• Enjoy fast-paced retail environments
• Strong listening skills and empathy for customers

Additional Preferred Qualifications

• Passion or background in automotive, heavy equipment, farm, diesel, marine, or dealership industries
• Experience in retail, auto body, or collision shops
• Knowledge of cataloging and inventory management systems
• Customer-centric attitude
• ASE Certifications (a plus but not required)
