Join to apply for the Store Counter Sales role at NAPA Auto Parts

We are more than just a Parts Store, and we are looking for talented individuals to join our NAPA family! As a NAPA Counter Sales associate, you are the "face of the retail store" and the go-to person for customers seeking automotive parts and assistance. You don’t need to be able to tear down and rebuild engines, but a background in automotive parts is preferred. This role is a great opportunity whether you want to build a career as a Parts Specialist, work full or part-time, or explore other career paths within our company.

What You Will Be Doing

• Assist retail and wholesale customers with auto parts questions in person and over the phone
• Utilize your parts knowledge to support other team members
• Provide outstanding customer service and create positive shopping experiences
• Bring energy and focus to our fast-paced stores
• Engage with customers to ensure satisfaction
• Use technology such as computers, cash registers, and catalog systems

Ideal Candidate Traits

• Enjoy helping customers with auto parts and service questions
• Experience in the automotive industry or hands-on vehicle repair experience
• Willing to learn automotive parts if no prior experience
• Desire to grow and develop a career with us

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License
• Experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or willingness to learn
• High School Diploma or GED; technical/trade courses are a plus
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment
• Strong listening skills and empathy for customers

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in automotive, heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or dealership
• Experience with cataloging and inventory management systems
• Customer-centric attitude
• ASE Certifications (a plus but not required)
