As a NAPA Counter Sales associate, you are the "face of the retail store" and the go-to person for customers seeking automotive parts and advice. You don’t need to be able to tear down engines (though that’s a plus), but having a background in automotive parts is important. This role offers a great opportunity whether you want to build a career as a Parts Specialist, work full or part-time, or explore other opportunities within our company.

What You Will Be Doing

• Providing auto parts answers and solutions for retail and wholesale customers in person and over the phone
• Assisting team members with customer questions using your parts knowledge
• Delivering outstanding customer service and positive interactions
• Bringing energy and customer focus to our fast-paced stores
• Welcoming customers and ensuring a positive shopping experience
• Using technology such as computers, cash registers, and catalogs

What You’ll Need

• Valid Driver’s License
• Experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or a willingness to learn
• High School Diploma or GED; technical or trade school is a plus
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment
• Good listening skills and empathy for customers

Additional Qualifications (Not Required but a Plus)

• Passion for automotive, heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or dealership
• Experience in a parts store, auction, retail, or auto body shop
• Knowledge of cataloging and inventory systems
• Customer-centric mindset
• ASE Certifications
