Job summary

Kinney is seeking a cashier to ring up customer purchases and ensure satisfaction at the checkout area. Responsibilities include scanning items, handling cash, checks and card payments, and following proper register procedures at shift end.

Additional duties include inventory replenishment, merchandising near the checkout, restocking supplies, answering phones, and assisting customers with large purchases. Training and strict adherence to store standards are expected.

Qualifications

• Accurately scan and ring out all customer purchases using POS register including cash, check and charge transactions
• Follow proper procedure for closing out of register at end of shift
• Assist in the inventory management, price marking and merchandising of the check out area and surrounding departments as needed
• Assist in identifying and returning outdated or over stocked merchandise to the proper source
• Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a professional and clean check out area
• Answer the phone with appropriate greeting while maintaining customer service standards
