Job description

We are seeking a motivated and customer service-oriented Store Clerk to join our team. This company has been a mainstay in MT’s agricultural community for over 50 years. We value integrity, loyalty, and exceptionalism. We are looking to hire an individual with the same values that will carry over to their job duties as well as coworker and customer interactions.As a Store Clerk, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional service to our customers while ensuring the store operates smoothly. Your responsibilities will include assisting customers with their purchases, maintaining inventory, and performing various sales-related tasks. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.

  • Process transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system, ensuring efficient cash handling.

  • Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products and increase sales.

  • Maintain organized stock levels by restocking shelves and managing inventory effectively as able.

  • Communicate with the team via the provided radio system.

  • Other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not required.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.

  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and inventory counts.

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.

  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to retail operations.

  • Must be well-groomed, neat, and clean for public contact.

Job Type:Seasonal, May – Sept. FT and PT availability with rotating Saturday Schedule
