Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a friendly cashier to ring up customer purchases, handle POS transactions, and ensure a smooth checkout experience in a fast-paced retail setting.

You will maintain store cleanliness, assist with inventory, help customers with large purchases, and support security and presentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Accurately scan and ring out customer purchases on POS register including cash, check and charge transactions
• Provide correct change and close out register at end of shift
• Assist customers with large purchases and carry items to their cars
• Replenish inventory from in-store stock and incoming orders
• Maintain a clean check-out area and general store cleanliness including restrooms, break rooms, backrooms and entryways
• Answer the phone with a professional greeting and maintain customer service levels
• Support inventory management, price marking and merchandising in the checkout area
• React to potential shoplifters following company policy
• Assist in Kinney Standard of Presentation (Merchandising) and ordering of replacement products
• Package and prepare items for home/business delivery
• Complete all mandatory training programs and perform other duties as assigned
• Be available and on-time for scheduled work shifts
