Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. is hiring a retail cashier to ring up purchases, handle payments, and keep a clean checkout area. You will assist customers with large purchases, replenish stock, and help maintain store standards.

Responsibilities include operating the POS, giving correct change, stocking, inventory tasks, and following loss prevention policies. Training and regulatory requirements apply.

• Experience in retail cashier roles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately scan and ring out all customer purchases using POS register including cash, check and charge transactions.
• Accurately provide change to customers.
• Follow proper procedure for closing out of register at end of shift.
• Request additional help as needed to maintain customer service levels.
• Offer assistance to customers with large purchases (carry purchases out to their cars).
• Replenish inventory from in-store stock and incoming orders.
• Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a professional and clean checkout area.
• Assist in maintaining store cleanliness including restrooms, break rooms, backrooms, entryways.
• Replenish register supplies as needed.
• Answer the phone with appropriate greeting and customer service levels.
• Assist in inventory management, price marking and merchandising of checkout area.
• React to potential shoplifters following company policy.
• Assist in Kinney Standard of Presentation (Merchandising).
• Assist in ordering replacement product from the appropriate supplier.
• Identify and return outdated or overstocked merchandise to source.
• Package and prepare items for home/business delivery.
• Complete mandatory and regulatory training programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
