Job summary

Belk is seeking an Maintenance and Housekeeping Associate to drive sales by maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting store environment in Wilmington, DE. The role involves daily cleaning, maintenance tasks, and replenishing supplies with a strong emphasis on hygiene and attention to detail.

You will support store safety, assist customers during busy periods, and help uphold policies while maintaining a positive team atmosphere and reliable service. This is an hourly, on-site position at Belk.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ownership in achieving personal goals and store objectives.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including dusting, vacuuming, and trash collection.
• Clean restrooms and breakroom surfaces, restocking items.
• Replenish supplies at registers and organize cleaning materials.
• Identify hazards and resolve safety issues promptly.
• Replace interior and exterior lights to keep the store well lit.
• Use training tools and stay informed on products, policies, and events.
• Contribute to a positive culture by sharing knowledge with teammates.
• Enhance customer experience by greeting and assisting shoppers during peak times.
• Follow asset protection procedures and support safety protocols.
