Job summary

Michaels Colma store is seeking a dedicated team member to perform cleaning and store support duties. Responsibilities include trash disposal, floor care, product placement, and area cleaning using approved materials and equipment.

You will also engage customers, assist with checkout, and participate in omnichannel processes. Applicants should have retail or cleaning experience, be able to stand for long periods, and handle lifting and bending.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to remain standing for long periods.
• Ability to move throughout the store.
• Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching and stretching.

Responsibilities

• Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures.
• Dusts and damp mops floors following approved procedures.
• Moves equipment and products for cleaning and places products back in correct placement.
• Cleans assigned areas with assigned materials and equipment.
• Mixes water and detergents to prepare cleaning solutions as specified.
• Deep cleans key store areas to maintain a clean, safe environment for customers and staff.
• Maintains cleaning equipment neatly and notifies supervisor of supply needs for replenishment.
• Seeks out areas requiring cleaning and takes initiative to complete tasks.
• Performs tasks in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines.
• Maintains positive interactions with team members and customers.
• Provides a fast and friendly check out experience; sells Rewards program benefits.
