Job summary

Batteries Plus Bulbs in Nashua, NH, is hiring a full-time Store Associate/Device Repair Technician to help customers choose the right power and lighting solutions and to diagnose and repair devices. No experience?

Paid training and certification are provided. We offer a competitive hourly wage, a $2,000 sign-on bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, vision, dental, life/AD&D, disability, 401(k) with match, PTO, holidays, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated technical aptitude and ability to learn new processes with minimal guidance.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage and track multiple commitments, effectively prioritize, follow up, and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills; strong customer service focus; ability to inform, teach, and train.
• Working conditions are typical for a retail environment.
• This position requires the employee to regularly use hands to handle or touch electronic products and a computer.
• This position requires lifting up to 50 lb on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, determine needs, and answer questions.
• Suggest add-on items, participate in retail store and commercial sales activities to achieve sales and profit goals.
• Ask questions to identify potential commercial customers.
• Operate computer/cash register to complete sales transactions with accuracy.
• Answer phones, assist callers, and ensure messages are relayed in a timely, accurate manner.
• Assist in achieving retail and commercial sales initiatives.
• Watch for loss prevention issues and inform management of any unusual activities.
• Function as a team player doing whatever is necessary to help attain company goals.
• Demonstrate a customer-first mentality.
• Install batteries, perform tests and tech work.
• Rebuild battery packs as needed.
• Repair smartphones, tablets, light fixtures and other devices as needed.
• Replace screens, batteries and other components on smartphones and tablets.
• Assist in all store operations responsibilities as assigned by Store Manager or Assistant Manager.
• Rotate and stock inventory.
• Load, unload, and deliver or arrange delivery of product to customers or via third party delivery companies.
• Organize daily recovery of displays to achieve full store appearance.
• Maintain retail shelf label pricing.
• Build displays; setting up & taking down shelves and fixtures.
• Prepare store for daily opening and closing including counting and reconciling register drawers.
• Maintain physical facility safety and appearance including: mowing lawn, removing snow, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.

Essential Job Duties

Customer Service / Sales

Merchandising / Inventory

• Assist in all store operations responsibilities as assigned by Store Manager or Assistant Manager
• Rotate and stock inventory
• Load, unload, and deliver or arrange delivery of product to customers or via third party delivery companies
• Organize daily recovery of displays to achieve full store appearance
• Maintain retail shelf label pricing
• Build displays; setting up & taking down shelves and fixtures
• Prepare store for daily opening and closing including counting and reconciling register drawers
• Maintain physical facility safety and appearance including: mowing lawn, removing snow, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors. Maintain restroom cleanliness
• Follow all safety rules and regulations; wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
