Pay Range

This range is provided by Habitat for Humanity Portland Region. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — discuss with your recruiter for details.

Base pay range

$17.00/hr - $24.00/hr

Position Details
  • Department: ReStore
  • Reports to: Store Manager
  • Time Commitment: Full-time, hourly non-exempt
  • Level: A
  • Compensation: $17.34/hour to $20.61/hour with a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision insurance, paid time off, life insurance, and more.

Who You Are

You will work with team members and volunteers to manage daily retail operations, including loading/unloading, guiding volunteers, cashiering, and customer service. Responsibilities include maintaining safety, efficiency, and respectful communication, aligning with Habitat's mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer service, greeting, assisting, cashiering
  • Accepting and inspecting donations
  • Guiding volunteers
  • Processing donations and stocking merchandise
  • Cleaning and organizing store areas
  • Supporting donation pickups
  • Supporting other locations as needed
Qualifications
  • At least one year of customer service experience
  • Ability to work with staff and volunteers
  • Desire for a clean and organized environment
  • Time management skills
  • Willingness to learn to operate tools and equipment safely
  • Knowledge of safety practices
  • Ability to adapt and learn new skills
  • Experience or background that demonstrates capability
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
Physical and Work Environment
  • Active warehouse and retail environment
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting over 50 lbs
Work Schedule
  • 40 hours/week, including weekends as scheduled
  • Store hours: Wed-Mon 10am-6pm, Tue 11am-6pm
  • Shifts may vary for donation pickups and training
Compensation and Benefits

Starting between $17.34 and $20.61 per hour, with a full range up to $24.28. Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, retirement plan, and more.
