Job summary

Five Below is seeking a part-time Loss Prevention Associate to support shrink reduction and safety initiatives. You will work with the General Manager to ensure policy compliance, monitor entrances, and perform security checks while engaging with customers in a professional manner.

The role requires 1–2 years of retail Loss Prevention experience, strong communication, and the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 20 lbs. Evening and weekend availability is necessary.

Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service experience is required.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of staff and management.
• 1–2 years in retail Loss Prevention preferred.
• Basic understanding of retail or security concepts.
• Willing to work nights and weekends as needed.
• Able to stand/walk for 8 hours.
• Able to lift/carry up to 20 lb.
• Punctuality and regular attendance are essential.
• Ability to work independently.
• General knowledge of products in key departments.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to shortage reduction and investigations.
• Work with General Manager to ensure policy compliance.
• Maintain employee entrance area as applicable.
• Track packages delivered via employee entrance.
• Conduct store security checks and propose loss-prevention improvements.
• Move throughout store performing duties as needed.
• Provide a visible, courteous, professional entrance/exit presence.
• Perform safety inspections and communicate hazards to management.
• Greet customers as a Five Below associate.
