Job summary

Computer World Services in Virginia is seeking a Storage/Virtualization Engineer to design, implement, and support secure storage and backup solutions across on‑premises and virtualized environments.

You will build and manage VM hosts, storage arrays, and related infrastructure, ensure high availability, perform backups with backup software, and provide expert technical support to customers while collaborating with the Storage & Virtualization team.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 2–4 years of related experience.
Direct VMware vSphere experience is required or highly preferred.
Experience with storage and hardware solutions for virtualized environments.

Responsibilities

Designs, monitors, maintains, and leads the storage and virtualization engineering process.
Configures storage strategies, solutions, and protocols.
Provides technical support and capacity planning for storage growth.
Executes installs, updates, and deployments for storage and virtualization environments.
Occasional support for business development activities.
Manage remote server and storage (Dell servers preferred).
Build and maintain VMs, servers, and storage solutions.
Document work for Storage and Virtualization team.
