Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Senior Storage Solutions Architect to guide US DoW and Federal Civilian customers on data storage best practices, architectures, and cost optimization. The SME role focuses on scalable storage designs, proving concepts with FSx/S3, and enabling field teams with best‑in‑class enablement.

Qualifications

8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience.
Experience architecting infrastructure solutions using Linux/Unix and Windows with server, load balancing, HA/DR, storage architectures.

Responsibilities

Enable the AWS SA community to design cost-optimized, secure storage architectures.
Help AWS customers adopt well-architected storage solutions.
Build technical trusted advisor relationships with internal and external customers.
Refine best practices around storage services and solutions.
Influence service roadmaps by identifying customer trends.
Work with service teams on the launch of new features services.
