Job summary

PG&E is seeking a Storage Platform Engineer to design and operate data infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and on-premises. The role focuses on storage pipelines for analytics and AI workloads, with Terraform provisioning and Azure DevOps automation.

The SPE will implement storage protection, security controls, and automation, collaborating with cybersecurity, governance, and cloud teams to ensure resilience and performance in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
2 years hands-on infrastructure, systems administration, or cloud operations work.
1 year of experience with cloud technologies and cloud-based environments.
AWS Data Engineer or Azure Data Engineer certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Administer and support enterprise storage across on-prem and cloud environments.
Support block/SAN storage platforms and related fabric technologies.
Administer NAS/file storage platforms and migration activities.
Provision, expand, reclaim, and optimize storage resources.
Monitor storage health using enterprise storage management/AIOps tools.
Troubleshoot storage incidents across arrays, fabrics, and connectivity paths.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve storage reliability.
