Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; 5 years of storage operations or related experience.
• Experience leading storage operations, data protection, backup/recovery workflows, and infrastructure governance.
• Expertise with enterprise storage platforms, SAN/NAS, data protection systems, and disaster recovery processes.
• Strong understanding of ITSM, service delivery, hosting operations, and governance in enterprise IT.
• Ability to evaluate storage documentation, workflows, performance metrics, and system outputs for completeness and compliance.
• Experience developing performance plans, audit artifacts, dashboards, and corrective actions.
• Excellent written, analytical, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across storage engineering, hosting, cybersecurity, and federal organizations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee enterprise storage operations, ensuring availability, backup integrity, DR readiness, security, and capacity optimization.
• Lead governance and performance oversight for SAN/NAS platforms, storage clusters, replication, and data protection.
• Coordinate testing cycles for backup/restore and replication; validate SLAs and maintenance dashboards.
• Refine operational workflows, reduce backup failures, and strengthen documentation; embed performance and security requirements.
• Collaborate with hosting, database, and virtualization teams to ensure aligned storage operations and improvements.
• Engage VA leadership to communicate storage performance, deliver reviews, and drive continuous improvement.
