Job summary

Stone Security, a BearCom company, is seeking a Support Technician to install and support security systems across North America. You will handle routine to non-routine calls, diagnose issues, and perform preventive maintenance on Milestone, LenelS2, DMP, Bosch, Axis, and other equipment.

The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, experience with security installations and access control, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams on projects and service calls.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience installing network camera systems (Milestone, Axis, Hanwha, Bosch).
• Three years of experience installing security systems (DMP and Bosch).
• Three years of experience installing access control systems (Lenel and S2).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Install and support security systems and respond to service calls.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and replace defective parts; perform preventive maintenance.
• Collaborate with specialists; cross-train on servicing existing customers.
• Lead small project installations and ensure timely completion.

About Stone Security:Largest Distributor of Wireless Voice, Data, and Video Solutions in North America40+ Years Industry-Leading ExperiencePartnerships with Motorola, JVC Kenwood, Avigilon,75+ Branches Across North AmericaJob Description:As a Support Technician, you will be involved in installing and supporting security systems.Respond to routine and some non-routine customer service calls, scheduled maintenance calls, and emergency and after-hours service calls on a timely basis; diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, replace defective parts and troubleshoot systems for routine problems; install projects as necessary.Use solid troubleshooting skills to isolate and fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software for Milestone, LenelS2, and DMP.Identifies and resolves problems for many types of service calls including emergency and after-hours calls; analyzes repair requirements and provides customer with appropriate solutions; completes necessary repairs and replacements as needed; exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results.Responsible for primarily performing preventative maintenance for installed systems that are typically less complex.Work closely with other specialists to cross-train on servicing existing customers by responding to service calls, carrying out Customer Support Programs and small projects business.Scope of work includes technical assistance, systems checkout of new and existing installations, troubleshooting and maintenance and repair routines associated with installed Security and the installation of projects when needed.Preferred Qualifications:Three years of experience installing network camera systems (Milestone, Axis, Hanwha and Bosch)Three years of experience installing security systems (DMP and Bosch)Three years of experience installing access control systems (Lenel and S2).Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills.Proven track record of leading a security installation team.Aptitude for networking, computers and general IT is preferred.Physical Requirements:Ability to use hand and power tools to install hardware.Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders.Physically able to install system hardware and wiring.Must be able to lift 35 lbs. at a time.Benefits:BearCom wants to elevate your professional growth!
