Job summary

Based out of Lumbermen’s Walker facility, a Stone Fabricator and CNC Operator works with granite, marble, and quartz. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating materials to the saw for cutting, staging slab materials, and programming the Northwood Raptor saw as abilities grow.

This role emphasizes safety, teamwork among employee owners, and contributing to a culture of doing things right the first time.

Qualifications

• Stone fabrication experience required.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to stand 8–10 hours daily.
• Bending, twisting, and stooping ability.
• Read shop drawings & fabricate from CAD templates.
• Read a tape measure and understand dimensions.
• Mathematics knowledge including fractions & decimals.
• Ability to work with fellow employee-owners.
• Willingness to learn to operate tools and gain new skills.
• Knowledge of structural design integrity.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Material Coordinator to bring materials to the saw for cutting.
• Stage and maintain workflow of slab materials for cutting.
• Index remnants in inventory management system.
• Learn to operate Northwood Raptor dual table saw and Jet, including basic layout and loading.
• Assist Production Manager with tasks in stone production.
• Help keep shop clean and maintained.
• Assist with moving countertops and workflow.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area.

SHIFT: 7AM - 3:30PM

POSITION SUMMARY

Based out of our Walker facility, an experienced Stone Fabricator and CNC Operator works with granite, marble, and quartz. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Working with the Material Coordinator to get appropriate materials to the saw for cutting.
• Stage and maintain a work flow of slab materials that need to be cut.
• Working with Material Coordinator to index remnant materials in inventory management system.
• Learn functionality of a Northwood Raptor dual table saw/jet from basic layout, machine loading, running programs and learning to program the machine as abilities grow.
• Assist Production Manager in various tasks in stone production environment.
• Assists the rest of the shop team in terms of shop cleanliness and maintenance.
• Assists other shop members with moving tops and basic shop work flow.
• Maintaining a safe and clean work area

This position offers a $300 annual clothing allowance to offset costs for work apparel, protective footwear, and PPE.

• Knowledge of structural design integrity
