Job summary

Interior Logic Group is seeking a Machine Operator to operate fabrication shop equipment and maintain machinery according to established protocols. You will inspect slabs, polish and cut stone to specs, and support production schedules while mentoring newer operators.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year of manufacturing machinery experience, strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and solid communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical degree preferred.
• 1+ years of experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment with increasing responsibility.
• Experience running machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic to advanced mechanical skills related to equipment maintenance.
• Ability to drive production according to a set schedule.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Cross-functional expertise on multiple pieces of equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
• Ability to identify stone characteristics and material defects with accuracy.
• Exhibits leadership and mentoring skills as experience increases.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery in the fabrication shop and maintain equipment per protocols.
• Operate, maintain, and demonstrate mastery of one or more machines; cross-trained on multiple machines as applicable.
• Inspect slabs for defects and ensure cuts are accurate.
• Polish and cut stone and edges to specifications.
• Apply knowledge of materials and stone characteristics to ensure quality output.
• Perform machine operations and maintenance with accuracy and efficiency.
• Support workflow and production schedules as required.
• Provide guidance or mentoring to other operators as applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
