Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical degree preferred.
• 1+ years of experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience running machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical skills related to equipment maintenance.
• Ability to drive production according to a set schedule.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Cross-functional expertise on multiple pieces of equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
• Ability to identify stone characteristics and material defects with accuracy.
• Exhibits leadership and mentoring skills as experience increases.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and demonstrate mastery of one or more machines; cross-train on multiple machines as applicable
• Inspect slabs for defects and ensure cuts are accurate
• Polish and cut stone and edges to specifications
• Apply knowledge of materials and stone characteristics to ensure quality output
• Perform machine operations and maintenance with a high level of accuracy and efficiency
• Support workflow and production schedules as required
• Provide guidance or mentoring to other operators as applicable
• Perform other duties as assigned
