Job summary

Niemiec Marine, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory/Purchasing Coordinator to join our New Bedford shipyard team. You will research special order items, generate POs, negotiate with vendors, and ensure timely delivery of parts to technicians.

Work is in person at our New Bedford location, with a schedule of 8-hour shifts Monday to Friday and year-round readiness for OT; expect no less than 40 hours per week. This full-time role supports service operations for vessels 30–60 ft.

Responsibilities

• Research special order items required for the service department
• Generate purchase orders as needed in EVO Lightspeed
• Negotiate pricing with vendors
• Supply and provide inventory items to technicians at the employee counter
• Receive and check in orders
• Track and maintain inventory levels
• Other duties as needed

Job description

Niemiec Marine is a full-service boatyard caring for customers vessels between 30′ and 60′ in length. We are a certified dealer for Yanmar, Cummins, Volvo Penta, Onan, Westerbeke, Phasor, and Seakeeper.
