Job summary

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is hiring a Stockroom Associate to receive shipments, maintain inventory records, and replenish the sales floor. You will scan deliveries, tag merchandise, and organize stockrooms and off-site locations for efficient replenishment.

This role requires attention to detail, reliable time management, and a customer-service mindset. The position may involve helping on the sales floor during peak times and completing daily tasks to keep the store running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years customer service experience preferred and stockroom experience.
• Basic product knowledge preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Exemplify the highest level of customer service to internal and external customers.
• Scan shipment as delivered.
• Ticket and stock merchandise in the stock room or prepare for immediate distribution to the sales floor.
• Provide feedback to supervisor regarding inventory levels and damages.
• Organize stockroom by department and categories and stock merchandise on appropriate shelves or in offsite locations.
• Adjust stocking procedures to ensure aisles and exits are clear.
• Ensure merchandise is safely stored, properly ticketed, packaged and logged, and easily located for replenishment.
• Pack and log merchandise as required for customer deliveries.
• Transport merchandise to and from remote stockroom locations and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Keep stockroom clean and organized; assist on sales floor during peak times.
• Complete tasks on daily agenda or as assigned (store maintenance, lighting, cleaning).
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Follow stockroom procedures to minimize loss to the company.
