Job summary

The Simplot Company is seeking an Inventory/Materials Clerk at the GF Plant to manage receiving, stocking and inventory of parts and materials. The role supports issuing and completing purchase orders and maintaining clean, organized stockrooms.

Educational requirement is a High School Diploma or GED. Strong reading, writing, math, and communication skills are necessary, along with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work under pressure.

Qualifications

• Reading and understanding Bill of Ladings, manifests, receiving records and inventory records.
• Ability to write information on purchase orders and receiving records.
• Ability to perform basic math for counts and weights and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory files and records.
• Process routing, posting, and filing of documents promptly.
• Ensure materials received match packing slips and purchase orders; file accordingly.
• Post material issued to inventory records.
• Coordinate shipment of outbound goods per company procedures.
• Maintain inventory at target levels and perform cycle counts.
• Communicate clearly with plant personnel, vendors, and customers.
• Administer issuance of company-owned tools and keep areas tidy.
