Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. is seeking an Inventory Clerk in Irvine, CA to support material handling across product lines. You will determine stockroom locations, count and label parts, and perform system transactions to issue items to work orders.

The role includes cycle counts, investigations of fallout, and moving materials within the facility. The ideal candidate brings 5 years of related experience, a high school diploma, and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 5 years related experience preferred.
• Experience in warehouse, stocking, cycle counts, packaging, labeling, loading, scanning, picking, packing, counting a plus.
• Management of people and process implementation.
• Manufacturing/aerospace experience a plus.
• Basic knowledge of workshop tools, parts-handling, and equipment a plus.
• Positive teamwork attitude and great attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Determine stockroom location of parts required to fill work orders from planners.
• Count, package and label parts needed in work orders with high accuracy.
• Make system transactions to remove parts from stock and issue to work orders.
• Perform cycle counts and inventory adjustments.
• Investigate inventory fallout.
• Move materials within the stockroom and to work cells or remote stocking locations.
• Act as team leader during inventory-focused events.
• Share knowledge with operations and other setup personnel as directed.
• Assist department in developing techniques to increase productivity and quality.
• Maintain good housekeeping in assigned duties.
