Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. in Irvine, CA is seeking an Inventory Clerk to support stockroom operations across all product categories. You will count, package, label parts, and perform system transactions to issue items to work orders with high accuracy.

Responsibilities include cycle counts, inventory adjustments, locating parts, moving materials between stockroom and work cells, and leading the team during inventory events while promoting productivity and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required; 5 years related experience preferred.
• Experience in warehouse activities: stocking, cycle counts, packing, labeling, scanning and picking.
• Ability to manage people and implement processes.
• Attention to detail and positive teamwork required.

Our Inventory Clerk will assist with Inventory and Material handling of all product categories (Aluminum, Inconel, Finished Goods, etc.).

How You Will Do It

• Determine stockroom location of parts required to fill work orders received from planners.
• Count, package and label parts needed in work orders, with a high degree of accuracy.
• Make system transactions to remove parts from stock and issue to work orders.
• Perform cycle counts and inventory adjustments.
• Investigate inventory fallout.
• Move materials, both within the stockroom and to the work cells or remote stocking locations.
• Act as team leader during all events focused on inventory.
• Share knowledge with operations and other set-up personnel as directed.
• Responsible for assisting the department in the development of techniques to increase productivity and quality.
• Exercises good housekeeping principles in the completion of assigned duties.

What We Look For

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years related experience.
• Experience in warehouse, stocking, cycle counts, packaging, labeling, loading, scanning, picking, packing, counting are a plus.
• Management of people and process implementation.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of general workshop tools, parts-handling, and equipment a plus.
• Positive teamwork attitude and great attention to detail.
