Job summary

Mars Incorporated is seeking a Stockroom Clerk for the Columbus, OH site to manage inventory and stockroom operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role uses SAP for inventory tracking and requires a high school diploma with inventory experience.

Expected hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM on the 1st shift, Monday through Friday. The position offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits starting on Day One, including medical, vision, dental, and a 401(k) match.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records using SAP to process stock movements, transfers, and adjustments.
• Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming materials and parts.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and audits to ensure stock accuracy.
• Identify, resolve and troubleshoot inventory discrepancies promptly.
• Ensure proper labeling and organized storage of stockroom items.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards related to inventory management.
• Facilitate transfer of items between the warehouse and the stockroom.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the stockroom area.
• Handle ad hoc requests as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)
• Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.
• Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, lean over equipment, and operate in confined spaces.
• Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods, with shifts lasting 12 hours
• Capable of working in hot, cold and wet conditions
• Proficient in understanding, communicating, reading, and writing in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical degree or certification
• Strong working knowledge of SAP
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
