Job summary

Ultimate Staffing Services in San Diego, CA is hiring a Warehouse Stockroom Associate to receive, store and issue equipment and supplies under general supervision.

You will count, verify, and record stock, label items, pull kits, and keep inventory accurate using the ERP system. This temporary assignment is for 2–3 months, with a potential extension.

Qualifications include 1–2 years in shipping/stockroom duties, basic English, math, the ability to lift 50 lbs, and a HS diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in shipping & stockroom practices and procedures.
• Basic reading, writing, and communication in English.
• Basic knowledge of mathematics, such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
• Basic computer skills and use of scales - shipping, packing, weighing equipment.
• A High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Counts, sorts, or weighs incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoices, and examines stock to verify conformance to specifications.
• Accepts items into stock or releases items out of stock and records transactions.
• Stores articles in an orderly and accessible manner in bins, on floor, or on shelves in warehouse or other areas, according to identifying information such as style, size, or type of material.
• Marks stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
• Performs kit pulls and/or fills orders or issues supplies from stock.
• Cuts stock to size to fill order.May move, transport or distribute stock or supplies to other department and/or among production workers.
• Maintains inventory and other stock records utilizing company ERP software.
• Tracks and verifies accuracy of inventory, counts and location, by physically counting and identifying inventory within specific locations.
• Controls issuing/receipt of inventory from/into stocking locations by following prescribed processes and handling procedures.Includes material identification, counting, transporting and packaging for end user or storage.
• Compiles reports on use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipments.
• As directed, performs periodic cycle counts and/or physical inventories and maintains inventory records.
• Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment reporting any damage to supervisors.

Salary: USD20 - USD20 per hour

Hours: Monday – Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm

Pay: $20/hr

Temporary – Leave of absence 2-3 months, with the possibility for being extended
