Job Summary

Loads and unloads material within a warehouse or storage facility. Utilizes hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from aircraft, trucks or trains and within the storage facility. Has knowledge of commonly-used practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Job Description

Employees assigned to both receive and disburse MRO items as instructed. Must verify correctness of items and quantity received against receiver or P.O. information. Accurately stock items per locater system. Distribute receiving paperwork to finance department. Update Oracle to reflect items received.

Validate requisition information, accurately pull items to disburse per requisition. Note level of inventory to alert to potential stock out conditions. Update Oracle to reflect items disbursed.

Cycle counting to be performed daily to prevent stock outs.

Responsible for daily check of lift truck to ensure that all systems are functional and all safety devices are in place.

Must practice good housekeeping and be available for assignment as required by supervisor.

Additional Job Details

Education

High school or GED preferred. Requires ability to read and write, use shop math and understand part number and inventory system. Must be computer literate and able to enter information into inventory system. Should be literate in Excel.

Experience

Requires 6 months to 1 year

Oracle computer system preferred
