Job summary

Michigan Medicine, part of the University of Michigan, seeks an Inventory Clerk to reconcile receipts with requisitions, maintain stock, process orders, and rotate stock within a hospital environment.

Responsibilities include packing, delivering, and stocking diverse items, recording transactions, and ensuring area cleanliness. The role supports operations across departments with hybrid/remotely adjustable work modes and a standard 40-hour schedule.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to perform a wide range of physical activities such as pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching, etc.

Modes of Work

Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment. Learn more about the work modes .

Work Schedule

Standard hours: 40
Work days: Monday-Friday
Shift start/end times: 5:00pm-1:00pm

Union Affiliation

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the AFSCME union, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
