As an Operations Generalist, you'll ensure our merchandising and inventory strategies are executed across the Pet Care Center using our Petco processes. You will ensure the efficient and effective operation of the Pet Care Center to meet the needs of guests and their pets. Your duties include working the truck, stocking shelves, cleaning the center, operating the cash register, and providing an excellent guest experience. Success in this role requires a passion for animal welfare, health, and proper care, along with being a positive team partner.

Position Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage inventory across the Pet Care Center.
• Ensure merchandise is properly stocked, priced, and displayed to enhance guest experience.
• Process transactions efficiently to ensure a positive guest experience.
• Support guest interactions using our selling model.
• Support animal care procedures to maintain pet health.
• Complete training programs to stay knowledgeable about your role.
• Promote a positive culture of teamwork, inclusion, and collaboration.
• Follow operational guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) or work experience.
• Proficiency in mathematics and above-average communication skills.
• Professional appearance and genuine interest in animals and their care.
• Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills.

Education/Skills

Proficiency in mathematics, basic accounting, and exceptional communication skills are required.

Supervisory Responsibility

None

Work Environment

Mostly indoors, with some outdoor activities for stocking and merchandise handling. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work flexible hours including evenings and weekends is necessary.
