Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company in Lexington, VA is seeking a Stock Selector (Warehouser). You will unload and store materials, inspect items, and use SAP to process shipments, while maintaining accurate records. Pay starts at $24.23/hour with a raise to $26.23 after 9 months, plus full benefits.

Location is Natural Bridge Station, VA 24579. Overtime may be required; strong organizational and safety records are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous warehouse experience and using scanners for picking.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Good work record (safety, quality, productivity, attendance, attitude and cooperation).
• Experience operating industrial trucks in a safe manner.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect incoming materials for defects.
• Notify supervisor of insufficient quantities, defects, or discrepancies.
• Transport materials to storage areas using powered industrial trucks or cranes.
• Pick and load material onto cargotruck for internal delivery.
• Use SAP to process shipments and generate reports.

Position Description

Unloads incoming and outgoing materials using powered industrial trucks, manual hand trucks, straddle carrier and overhead cranes or hoists. Keeps records of all incoming and outgoing materials, and notifies appropriate personnel of insufficient order quantities, unacceptable quality or inventory discrepancies. Records and reports are completed on the computer using appropriate software.

• Pay: Starting Rate is $24.23/hour; after 9 months the pay rate will increase to $26.23
• Location: Natural Bridge Station, VA 24579

Key Responsibilities

• Visually inspect incoming materials for noticeable defects.
• Notifies supervisor or other personnel of insufficient order quantities, unacceptable defects, or inventory discrepancies.
• Transports incoming materials to appropriate department of storage areas using powered industrial trucks (forklifts or forktrucks) and manual hand trucks, or overhead crane or hoist.
• Pick and load material or product using forklift, forktruck, or handjack onto cargotruck to deliver to internal customers.
• Uses computer and current software (SAP) to process shipments and generate reports.
• Reports improper equipment operation to supervisor.
• Responsible for keeping storage yard neat, clean and orderly.
• Responsible for keeping accurate outgoing material transactions.
• Carry out special material handling assignments when necessary.
• Other essential functions as may be assigned.

Required Education & Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous warehouse experiance and using scanners for picking.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Good work record (safety, quality, productivity, attendance, attitude and cooperation).
• Experiance with dive industrial trucks in safe manner.
• Ability to maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
• Ability to be flexible with daily duties outside of standard work.
• Ability to be flexible and available for overtime (can be at short notice)
